This work of art is one of the few deviations submitted to Anime Alphas that actually caught my attention. It is very beautiful and realistic--I almost thought it was a photograph until I saw the wings and the disk.
Now, I know Amaterasu doesn't actualy have wings, but it is still beautiful. Those wings are better than others I've seen on pictures of Amaterasu--they are unique and match Ammy's normal fur tufts.
The only things I don't like is that her tail looks more like a bird attached to her rear than an actual tail and her markings aren't well-done--I've seen better. Also, her divine retribution doesn't look as real as the rest of her. But other than that, beautiful!
This is a really beautiful piece. Though you've used stock, you made great use of them. I completely adore the wings on Amaterasu's legs. That is a really good idea!
I will point this out, the red painting (symbols) look a little painted on and not really going with the fur. I'm meaning to say it doesn't look very realistic.
The flame and disc are exceptionally good, They look like they just go with her, and fit with the picture. The place of the sun lighting up the photo like that really fits the scene and feeling of the drawing. Amazing work!
